Brilliant compilation and nice to see the turntable at Rosslare Harbour looking so well. It's still a disgrace that the rail head was moved away from the integrated ferry terminal, about fifteen years ago now, and of course that the direct services from Limerick and Waterford ceased! P.S. I hope that video on the quays in Wexford wasn't shot from a left-hand drive car😅

Holy cow, I didn't think a 201 could fit on that turn table, how did the table cope with the weight of the 201, my brain was thinking wow they are going to turn her, but why as dual cab modern era diesel electric loco would they need to! Would love to do that trip some day on a proper steam train.

We went to Galway yesterday to the hospital in howth. We went to get chips in moychurn there is no more chips superb We went to a restaurant to make a red balloon and we went to funtisum water park on the slides I was sick last week with baby rian but now I am better tari got a cat she is black and white she will call her Daphne skye she died in the cage in the end.

Fascinating on several counts:- Coaches with seats at the windows- reminiscent of the days when train travel was comfortable and you could watch the scenery! The coaches looked like they had B4 bogies. Were they British built? Do they belong to the RPSI or were they chartered? When I saw the turntable, for a moment I thought that they were going to turn a twin-cabbed loco. I hope that the tour was a success- the weather was good and the route looked very interesting.

Just a shame there was no steam loco pulling the train. Seems obvious (besides cost) but wouldn't the Irish Steam Preservation society not benefit from running an auxiliary push-pull GM diesel on the back. Or even acquire a battery powered tenders ?

4:03 looking at these particular Irish trains from a U.K. perspective on the Clonsilla/M3 Parkway line, these may need refurbishment and/or replacement in the next few years - they do look and smell a bit worse for wear on the outside and the interiors could do with some attention as well - the newer trains are quite pleasant, even in standard class, but I would be prepared to pay extra for first class on longer journeys out of Dublin, such as Dublin to Belfast or Dublin to Cork/Tralee

I’d love to see a LUAS service operating from the Irish Ferries & Stena Terminals at Dublin Port via Dublin Docklands and a direct train service operating via the M3 Parkway line to Navan (when it gets extended) as I live in Manchester and have family in Dunshaughlin, currently using SailRail via Chester & Holyhead - I don’t expect to see ferry services operating from Salford Quays or Liverpool to Dublin any time soon, nor do I expect to see a high speed rail tunnel under the Irish Sea from Holyhead to Dublin any time soon either, given the failure of HS2 here in the U.K. - the very reason that Irish railways are so successful compared to the U.K. is because they have not been privatised and because the Welsh government have engaged in leftist restrictive practices that are holding progress on the U.K. railways back which I have seen at first hand in my 23 years living in the U.K., so it is a joy to come home to Ireland to see proper railways run properly

A sad day in many ways. I was lucky enough as a child in the 1960's to arrive into the old GVS on a special train from Dublin. The station in those days was a sort of time capsule to my young mind, like a photograph brought to life.

Nice content. Love the location and date stamp. A time of day stamp would be nice, especially for the night trains. Keep up the good work!
